Place Holder

Place Holder is a narrative-based game about a robot who's on a path to discover its true feelings.

The game was made in two days, in a local game jam, Frost Jam 3, hosted by ITU OTG. 

Place Holder was also developed for a couple of additional weeks after the game jam. Both the game jam and release versions of the game can be found in the download section.

Summary

To succeed in discovering your feelings as a robot, you talk to other entities and proceed.

When encountered with different entities, each chosen dialogue option manipulates the mood of the robot.

To successfully continue the game, you must hide your real feelings and emotionally camouflage according to the thoughts of the person that you have encountered.

To understand your current state of mind, you can analyze the background music or check the mood scale on top of the screen. There are a total of 5 different tracks for the corresponding moods: lost, rational, neutral, emotional, and depressive.

At its current state, Place Holder has 15 different endings, 3 of them being true endings.
